Question the status quo in your environment. Is it perpetuating inequality? Not everyone is in a position of power to question the status quo. Speak up, your voice could have a big impact. Your children will see your efforts and, will be likely to model this behavior too.
Be willing to openly discuss racial tensions, problems, and inequalities. The more you do this, the more likely your children will accept this as a meaningful and worthwhile way of life. A way of life that involves actively defending and promoting equality for everyone.
